There are a few different ways to initiate a purchase, or book a session through HONK.
Below each method is broken down;
No App - Scan a QR Code Onsite Method
- Open your phone camera and point at the QR like you are taking a picture
- Allow the camera to capture the QR code and tap on the yellow link that appears on screen
- The link opens to a webpage where you can enter your license plate and choose a duration from the drop down (if more than one rate is available)
- You can then pay with a credit card or a mobile wallet (Apple/Google Pay) - please ensure you land on the success screen before you close your browser
- Upon completion of a purchase you can enter your email for a receipt and your phone number for expiry notification SMS
Mobile App Method
- Open app, ensure you are logged in
- Navigate to the zone. You can then tap on the flags in the map area, or choose from a list of nearby locations, OR just use the 'Enter Zone ID' option and enter the exact zone ID of the lot you parked in in the app (recommended to ensure you pay at the proper location)
- Once you have landed on the zone page you can choose a rate/duration
- You will land on a Checkout screen - confirm the details of your purchase (Plate/amount/start and end time) and choose your payment method
- Once you land on the success screen you know you have completed a purchase and a receipt will be sent to the email associated with your account
Sent a Link for Pre-payment or Reservation
- Events often send out a call to action for attendees to pre-pay for parking to avoid the additional hassle on the date in question
- They will usually send you a link to pay through HONK - most of the time these are 'Express Checkout' links so you can pay without creating an account
- You will be brought to a webpage where you can enter your license plate and choose a duration from the drop down (if more than one rate is available)
- You can then pay with a credit card or a mobile wallet (Apple/Google Pay) - please ensure you land on the success screen before you close your browser
- Upon completion of a purchase you can enter your email for a receipt
