You are always in complete control of how you pay at checkout! If you use a mobile wallet like Apple Pay or Google Pay on your phone, the HONK app will usually default to that option to save you time. However, switching to a different card or payment method is incredibly easy.
Before you hit that final confirmation button, you can swap your payment source directly on the checkout screen:
Tap the Payment Bar: Look for the section displaying your current active card or mobile wallet icon near the bottom of the screen.
Open the Drop-Down Menu: Tapping directly on that bar will open up a list of all your saved payment options.
Select Your Card or Add Card: Choose the alternative card you’d like to use or add a new one, and you’re good to go!
How to Change Cards Within Apple Pay or Google Pay 📱
If you prefer to stick with your mobile wallet but want to use a card other than your absolute default, you can swap it during the final verification step:
Apple Pay: When the Apple Pay screen pops up prompting you to double-click or use Face ID/Passcode, tap on the card image or the ">" arrow next to your default card. This will reveal your full Apple Wallet stack, allowing you to select a different card for just this purchase.
Google Pay: When the Google Pay sheet slides up from the bottom of your screen, tap on your default card name/icon before confirming. A dropdown will appear showing all the other cards linked to your Google account.
