For an Apple phone:
Each app has different settings for you to adjust.
1. Open your phones Settings app
2. Scroll down to the Apps tab
3. Scroll to the HONK app and tap on it
3. View and adjust locations settings as desired
For an android phone:
You can control what location information your phone can use.
Quick Settings Method (Fastest)
- Swipe Down Twice: From the top of your home screen, swipe down from the top edge of the screen two times to fully expand the Quick Settings panel.
- Find Location: Look for the Location icon (it looks like a map pin).
- Toggle On: Tap the icon to turn it blue (or highlight it) to enable location services.
- If Missing: If you don't see it, tap the pencil icon (Edit) and drag the Location tile into your active Quick Settings.
Settings Menu Method (For More Control)
- Open Settings: Open the main Settings app on your device.
- Go to Location: Scroll down and tap on Location (or Security & location, Privacy, depending on your phone model).
- Turn On: Tap the toggle at the top to set Use location or Access to my location to On.
- Improve Accuracy (Optional): In the Location settings, tap Location services, Improve accuracy, and turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning for more precise location estimates.
- Manage Apps: You can also tap App location permissions to see which apps use your location and adjust their access (Always, While using the app, or Ask every time).
