We understand that parking near the hospital can be stressful, and the last thing you want to worry about is a timer running out. The AC Lot at UBC (Zone 5675) is designated for short-term use and has a strict 2-hour maximum limit.
This limit is set directly by UBC Parking Services to ensure high turnover for hospital visitors and campus guests.
Automatic Lockout: Once you have purchased a total of 2 hours in this zone, the HONK app will not allow you to buy additional time for that same license plate.
No Extensions: Even if your appointment runs long, our system is restricted from extending stays beyond the 2-hour campus policy.
What to Do if You Need More Time
If you find yourself needing to stay longer than 2 hours, we recommend the following:
Relocate Your Vehicle: To avoid a citation, the safest option is to move your vehicle to a long-term lot or a different campus zone that allows for extended stays.
